Job summary

Tatari is looking for a Data Platform Engineer to ensure the reliability and stability of its data platform infrastructure in San Francisco. This position focuses on operational discipline and platform management rather than data engineering tasks.

The ideal candidate has strong SRE skills and experience with cloud infrastructure, and is comfortable enforcing deployment protocols. Total compensation ranges from $190,000 to $240,000 with additional perks like equity and unlimited PTO.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cloud infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering required.
• Operational discipline and reliability management experience necessary.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability and availability of our data platform infrastructure.
• Enforce and improve environment promotion discipline.
• Define and uphold SOPs around deployments and maintenance.
• Monitor platform health using observability tooling; build alerting.
• Participate in architecture discussions and push back on readiness.

Operational instinct

3+ years in cloud infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering
