Job summary

AspiringIT in Irvine, CA is seeking a Data Product Owner to lead the strategy and delivery of our enterprise data platform. You will focus on establishing Unity Catalog as the organization’s SSOT while collaborating with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver scalable, governed data solutions.

You will own the data platform roadmap, drive data source consolidation, and ensure adoption and governance across the platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Management experience, with 3+ years focused on Data Platforms, Data Products, or Analytics.
• Experience delivering cloud-based data platform solutions from requirements through production adoption.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to analyze data and validate business requirements.
• Experience managing Agile backlogs, sprint planning, and stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the data platform roadmap, priorities, and backlog.
• Lead data source consolidation and establish Unity Catalog as the enterprise source of truth.
• Gather and translate business needs into platform and data requirements.
• Partner with Data Engineering and Architecture teams to deliver Databricks, dbt, and governance capabilities.
• Define data ownership, lineage, access controls, and data quality standards.
• Track migration progress, risks, dependencies, and platform adoption metrics.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and support migration from legacy data sources to governed datasets.
