Job summary

Milan Laser Hair Removal seeks a Data Platform Manager to lead architecture, roadmap, and delivery of our Snowflake data platform. You will stay hands-on and mentor engineers while shaping standards and patterns across the team.

In this role you will partner with BI and analytics stakeholders to translate business priorities into platform capabilities, drive scalable data pipelines, and ensure a reliable data foundation for analytics, data science, and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Six years of ETL/ELT experience in a data warehouse or lakehouse environment.
• Five years of SQL experience.
• Three years of Python or scripting language experience.
• Two years of experience directly managing, leading, or mentoring data engineers or similar technical staff.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing lakehouse or medallion data architecture.
• Snowflake or Databricks experience.
• Ability to communicate technical direction to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum project development environment.

Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture & Technical Strategy: Inform the technical architecture and drive the roadmap for Milan's Snowflake data platform, including ingestion and data lakehouse components.
• Team Leadership & People Management: Hire, coach, and manage the performance of data engineers and other technical staff on the platform team.
• Delivery & Prioritization: Prioritize and manage delivery of platform initiatives and milestones.
• Hands-On Engineering: Contribute to design and development of data pipelines, models, and platform components; perform code reviews.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Align platform capabilities with reporting, analytics, and activation needs; communicate directions clearly across audiences.
