Job summary

Fuse Energy, an AI-first energy company, is hiring a Data Lead to own trading data end to end, ensuring data correctness, timeliness, reproducibility and usefulness for traders and quants.

You will design canonical schemas, ship production datasets, monitor data freshness and anomalies, onboard vendors, and lead and grow a team of engineers to map data flows across the business, enabling fast, reliable analytics and trading decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL skills for production pipelines.
• Experience designing data models for time-series and event data.
• Ability to own data as a product and work with traders/quant teams.
• Experience leading engineers and coordinating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own trading data as a product, including power market data, weather, grid and fundamentals.
• Ship datasets and pipelines to production quickly and fix bottlenecks across ingestion, storage and delivery.
• Design canonical schemas supporting point-in-time correctness, revisions and backtesting.
• Evaluate, onboard and manage data vendors with coverage, latency, licensing and cost.
