We are seeking a Manager of Data Platforms to lead the day-to-day operations, support, and administration of our enterprise data platform ecosystem, including integration & ETL administration. This Manager-level role is responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of our key data systems, including integration pipelines, data warehouses, data governance, and MDM tooling. You will ensure our data platforms are integrated and aligned with organizational goals.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience managing enterprise data platforms, strong incident and service management capabilities, and a track record of working effectively with cross-functional technical teams.

Your role will be to lead our data platform administration while partnering with various stakeholders, including data engineering, data governance, IT, and business leaders. You will collaborate closely with these teams to ensure that our data platforms and services meet current and future needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Define and implement data operations and platform roadmaps, ensuring alignment with overall corporate strategy. Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize initiatives that maximize business impact.
  • Platform Administration: Oversee the administration of data platforms for integrations, data governance tooling, MDM, including Informatica (IDMC/MDM/Axon/EDC/IDQ), Azure ADF. Ensure effective integration and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor platform performance and availability, proactively addressing issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, data governance, and business stakeholders, to ensure data platforms and services meet current and future needs.
  • Innovation and Efficiency: Drive innovation and efficiency in data platform administration and production support processes, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of data and platform engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Develop career paths and growth opportunities within the data engineering domain.
  • Provide clear direction, performance feedback, and professional development for engineering teams. Encourage a collaborative, agile environment that embraces continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership: Stay current with emerging data integration tools, trends, and best practices.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position manages people.

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 5 years related professional experience. 1 year Supervisory or demonstrated progressive leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure cloud services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics).
  • Data integration Platforms including Informatica (IDMC/MDM/Axon/EDC/IDQ/PC/PWX)
  • Hands-on experience supporting production enterprise data pipelines with Informatica or similar ETL/ELT technologies.
  • Production experience with CI/CD pipelines, and modern orchestration tools.
  • Proven track of building and leading high-performing teams, with strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSAs):

  • Demonstrable expertise in technical knowledge of data platforms, application lifecycle management, and standard operational support requirements (SLAs, SOPs, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge and best practices for managing and optimizing technical platforms and processes, including streaming data architecture, data warehouse management, Lakehouse architecture, ETL/ELT and data store patterns, CI/CD management, containerization, and orchestration tools (ADF, Airflow, Prefect, Control-M), and data integrations including Informatica (IDMC/MDM/Axon/EDC/IDQ).
  • Experience in managing vendors and contractors to enable operational support and guide organizational preferences in tooling and processes.
  • Capable of guiding teams through complex challenges, while empowering them to innovate and grow.
  • Effective in forging strong relationships with cross-functional partners including Data Governance & Architecture, Data Product, Analytics, and business stakeholders.
  • Expertise with designing and deploying real-time monitoring systems and dashboards to manage data operations.
  • Experience in strategic technology planning and execution, including user guides, use policies, user acceptance, and support/maintenance.
  • Experience applying Agile, DevOps, or SAFe principles to large-scale data engineering initiatives.
  • Knowledge of healthcare payers, providers, pharmacies, and community health businesses is preferred.

Salary Range: $136,720 - $253,787

Travel Requirements: Estimate Amount: Once a month onsite travel
