Job summary

Amazon seeks a Data Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable data infrastructure and ETL pipelines across AWS services. You will enable a unified data platform powering Finance data discovery and analytics.

The role requires 3+ years in data engineering, experience with data modeling and ETL, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
• Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows using Python, SQL, and AWS services to support enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Develop and optimize data models, metadata management frameworks, and catalog systems for fast data discovery.
• Build and maintain microservices and APIs that power platform features including search, data ingestion, and cross-service integrations.
• Implement data quality frameworks, monitoring, and alerting for high data reliability and governance.
• Automate data onboarding workflows and self-service capabilities to reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with product managers, BI engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, and operational excellence practices.
• Contribute to GenAI-powered features and AI-driven workflows.
