Job summary

DNI (Delaware Nation Industries) in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data platforms using AWS, Azure and GCP. You will implement reusable CI/CD templates, IaC, and secure data access controls to enable self-service for data scientists and analysts.

Responsibilities include robust ETL/ELT frameworks, monitoring, and collaboration with Data Architects, Software Engineers, and Data Scientists to deliver end-to-end data products while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in data engineering, platform engineering, or related DevOps/data role.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala with strong SQL and NoSQL experience.
• Hands-on experience with data lake/warehouse tech (Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka).
• Experience with containers, workflows, and IaC (Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, Dagster, Terraform).
• Must have TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable cloud-native data platforms (data lakes, lake houses, data warehouses).
• Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and streaming data.
• Implement RBAC, encryption, data lineage, and compliance controls.
• Monitor platform performance, storage and query responsiveness; optimize cost and availability.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Software Developers and Data Scientists to deliver end-to-end data products.
• Provide self-service enablement for analytics teams via CI/CD templates and Infrastructure as Code.
