Job summary

UDR, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to build and operate data pipelines and conformed models for our data platform. The role focuses on ingestion, reliability, and semantic modeling to support analytics across the business.

The position is hybrid and reports to the Analytics Engineering team, collaborating with engineers, analysts, and QA to ensure timely, accurate data delivery and strong data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years building and operating production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL and experience with cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with Python for pipeline development and automation.
• Familiarity with Snowflake and data modeling concepts.
• Proficiency with version control and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Builds and operates data ingestion pipelines from internal, vendor, and third-party sources.
• Develops and maintains source system connectivity and API integrations.
• Maintains raw data landing and conformed models for analytics.
• Implements orchestration, scheduling, and dependency management.
• Writes advanced SQL for transformations and performance tuning.
• Implements data quality tests within pipelines and models.
• Participates in semantic modeling and documentation for traceability.
