Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Data Engineer, Solutions & Data to design, build, and operate data pipelines that translate raw data into trusted datasets for analytics and reporting. The role emphasizes governance, data quality, and secure access to integrated data across initiatives.

You will work in a hybrid environment across Azure data services (Data Factory, Databricks, Event Hubs, SSIS) and Synapse Analytics, collaborating with engineers and analysts in an Agile pod model.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in data engineering and/or data platform engineering (pipelines, integration, and operational support).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with Azure data services and data warehousing (Azure Synapse Analytics).
• Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell).
• Familiarity with DataOps concepts and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize data pipelines across heterogeneous environments with SLAs.
• Ingest, transform, and publish data to deliver analytics-ready data.
• Consolidate data from multiple sources into a central SQL-based integration point.
• Design and implement data pipelines using Azure data technologies (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Event Hubs, SSIS).
• Build and maintain data warehousing capabilities (Azure Synapse Analytics) for analytics and reporting.
