Job summary

Evlo AI in San Diego seeks a data engineer to own the data platform, building batch and streaming pipelines that move billions of events daily into a cloud-native warehouse used by analysts, ML teams, and executive dashboards.

This hands-on role covers ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and monitoring, directly shaping how quickly the organization can act on its data. You will work with Python, Airflow, Kafka, and Snowflake to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of data engineering experience with production pipelines.
• 2+ years in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Advanced SQL and strong Python for transformations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain batch and streaming ingestion pipelines.
• Develop and optimize dbt models and Snowflake transformations.
• Own data quality checks, observability, and alerting.
• Collaborate with analytics engineers and BI teams for semantic models.
• Optimize warehouse performance and cost; manage reverse ETL workflows.
• Contribute to platform standards via CI/CD and documentation.
