Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Data Engineer II for Regulatory Reporting in Cincinnati, OH. You will design, build, and support data platforms and pipelines to enable data-driven decision making across the bank.

You’ll collaborate across IT, architecture, security, and stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions, with a focus on ETL, data warehousing, and analytics. The role requires deep SQL/RDBMS expertise, Unix/Linux/Windows familiarity, and experience with CI/CD, BI tools, and cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IS or related field.
• Proficient in data modeling and relational databases.
• 6+ years of related experience including 4+ years hands-on software development.
• Experience with major RDBMS and multi-OS environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support data solutions, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with IT, arch, security, and stakeholders to translate strategies into data-driven solutions.
• Serve as a technical expert on system design, performance, and integration.
• Conduct R&D on current data engineering trends and banking-related topics.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Evaluate software products and provide documented recommendations.
• Provide on-call support and troubleshooting for data platforms.
• Contribute to planning hardware/software, and internal projects.
