An established industry player is seeking a Data Platform Engineer II to join their growing IT team. What You Will Be Doing:
As a Penske Data Platform Engineer II, you will participate in all aspects of guiding and supporting development teams as they implement and deploy their applications on cloud or on-premise platforms. In this role, you will specifically be responsible for the DB2 environment. You will work with the software development teams to troubleshoot issues as they occur while also building, scaling, and maturing the DB2 for i (a.k.a. DB2/400, IBM i, iSeries) platform. You will have an opportunity to lead the design of certain platform components and suggest new technology/tools based on industry and technological trends and advances. You will also consult with product owners and senior members of the staff to understand the business and application requirements and provide suggestions based on platform best practices. Focusing on high-level and technical systems design you will collaborate with Architects and Engineers to help build and maintain a robust environment for application development, deployment, hosting, data storage and ingestion.
