Job summary

Atlas Air Worldwide is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data Platform and Engineering team. This early-career individual contributor role focuses on delivering well-defined data solutions, building reliable pipelines, and growing ownership under guidance.

You will work with Databricks, Spark, and cloud services to support analytics, data science, AI/ML, and operation decisions while collaborating across teams to deliver fit-for-purpose data products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative field.
• 1 year of professional experience in data/analytics engineering or related area.
• Proficient in SQL and at least one general programming language.
• Experience building data pipelines, transformations, or models.
• Familiar with ETL/ELT, data modeling, quality testing, and orchestration.
• Git-based development, code reviews, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot and collaborate with technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, deploy, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Develop data transformations and data products from business requirements.
• Create data models and ensure data quality, lineage, and documentation.
• Work with Databricks, Spark, orchestration tools, and cloud services.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards.
