Job summary

North is seeking a Data Platform Engineer in Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid) with 7+ years of software engineering experience to own and evolve the data layer for our cloud spend platform. You will build Python-based data services, model data, and decide when to use managed AWS services vs. alternative engines.

You’ll work across AWS-native tooling to enable scalable, real-time insights. You will lead the evolution of our data infrastructure, integrating diverse data sources and shaping enterprise-grade

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience in cloud/data roles.
• Experience with AWS-native tooling and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build features that power a data platform serving hundreds of millions in spend.
• Design and maintain data pipelines using S3, Parquet, Athena, and Glue.
• Evaluate alternative data tools and processing approaches as needs grow.
• Shape data models and query patterns across cloud providers.
