Job summary

Point72 is seeking a software engineer to help build the next generation of data infrastructure. You will design and implement data services, APIs, and pipelines that enable AI-powered workflows across trading and research teams.

You will work with cloud-native architectures, ensure reliability, and contribute to scalable deployments. A BS in CS and 3+ years of experience are required, with strong Python and database skills. This role is based in New York and offers competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python for enterprise-grade systems.
• Experience designing scalable data platforms and services.
• Familiarity with cloud architectures and data workflows.
• Experience with production-grade data systems and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain enterprise data services and pipelines for research, trading, and AI projects.
• Define data models, service contracts, and integration patterns for firm-wide data access.
• Ensure backend systems are reliable, observable, and scalable at large scale.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers on containerization and deployment automation.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
