Job summary

GeorgiaTEK Systems Inc. seeks a Data Platform Administration Architect to lead architecture, administration, governance, security, and production operations of enterprise data platforms, with a strong focus on Databricks and Azure Data Services.

You will oversee Databricks/Azure data platforms, manage incidents, capacity, performance, and cost, direct release and change management, and drive CI/CD, IaC, governance, and compliance across the stack. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role.

Qualifications

• Must have Databricks administration, configuration, security and governance.
• Experience with ITSM/ServiceNow including INC, RITM, CR, SCR, ECR and problem management.
• Proficient in release and change management including CAB, deployment and rollback validation.
• Strong IaC, automation and CI/CD capabilities.
• Knowledge of cloud governance, security, compliance and SOX.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Databricks and Azure data platform administration and architecture.
• Manage production and non-production environments, capacity, performance and cost.
• Own incident, problem, change and release management processes.
• Lead critical production incidents and prepare RCA actions.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, dashboards, runbooks and support models.
• Drive CI/CD, IaC, automation, governance, security and compliance.
• Participate in CAB and release governance activities.
• Lead platform modernization and operational excellence initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor platform engineering/administration teams.
