- Design and build scalable cloud-based data platforms and reusable shared services.
- Develop secure multi-tenant platform architectures supporting multiple teams and data environments.
- Establish engineering standards, automation practices, operational controls, and platform guardrails.
- Design and implement IAM, RBAC, encryption, auditing, and other enterprise security controls.
- Partner with security, cloud engineering, governance, and data teams to embed security throughout the platform lifecycle.
- Build reusable platform services and onboarding patterns instead of isolated team‑specific solutions.
- Develop infrastructure using Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code technologies.
- Implement modern DevSecOps and shift-left security practices across data platform engineering.
- Design and enable modern data products and infrastructure supporting analytics and AI workloads.
- Promote API‑first, reusable, and product‑oriented approaches to enterprise data sharing.
- Evaluate emerging cloud and data technologies while maintaining architectural consistency and governance.
- Partner with solution architects, engineering teams, and technical leadership to deliver enterprise data capabilities.
- Establish best practices for platform development, deployment, reliability, security, and operational support.
- Provide technical leadership through influence, mentoring, architecture guidance, and cross‑functional collaboration.
