Job summary

Quest Oracle Community seeks a data engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines for enterprise analytics. The role integrates data from diverse sources across on-premise and cloud environments to support advanced analytics, data mining and insights.

You will develop scalable ETL/ELT processes, write complex queries, and ensure data quality and security. Collaboration with IT, research, and clinical staff is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, Biomedical Informatics, CS, Engineering with 2+ years in Clinical IT and/or Research OR a Master’s with 2+ years in Clinical IT and/or Research.
• 1-3 years of data engineering and integration experience.
• 1-3 years of data management in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
• 3-5 years of experience developing database schemas, querying, and managing Oracle PL/SQL or SQL Server databases.
• 1-3 years of ELT/ETL data warehousing experience.
• 1-3 years of experience with Python, SQL, SSIS, or Informatica for data ETL/transformation.
• Experience working with APIs/RESTful Web Services.
• Experience with XML, JSON, HL7, or FHIR.
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Designs scalable end-to-end processes to consume, integrate and analyze large and complex data sources.
• Integrates and maintains data pipelines and transformation algorithms for analytics.
• Oversees data integration, storage monitoring, and data distribution across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Collaborates with IT, research, and medical staff to deliver data solutions.
• Handles ETL/ELT datasets using open source and proprietary tools.
• Writes complex queries against diverse data sources.
• Monitors ETL/ELT performance and security compliance.
• Deploys analytics programs, machine learning, and modeling for insights.
• Uses ML patterns for data discovery and automation.
