Job description

Claritas Rx is a digital health venture that brings clarity to the challenges of specialty biopharmaceutical products in the marketplace. Our mission is to illuminate the patient experience beyond the clinical trial.

We are seeking a Data Operations Specialist to support the effective flow of and quality of data for our customers. The Data Operations team is focused on ensuring Data Quality for all our customers’ programs. Their main duties include:

  • Coordination of activities related to data file transfers, monitoring for file timeliness and accuracy (aligned to data spec, no missing data or duplicates)
  • Facilitation of communications with Claritas Rx and customer contacts
  • Management of ad hoc escalations, and documentation of actions in the Claritas Rx portal
  • Execution of advanced data profiling and validation checks to ensure data integrity and usability

This is a remote position but must be based on the East Coast, with standard working hours being 8am to 5 pm ET. You will work closely with team members from Claritas Rx and directly with our customers (drug manufacturers) as well as with the data partners who support our customers to provide a foundational role to ensure we deliver on our promise of timely and accurate information for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Become an expert on the operational nature of data flows which support our customers, including:
  • The timing of when processing occurs (when files are expected and the frequency of occurrence)
  • How to detect important issues and errors in the data
  • How to communicate about issues and errors with data partners, leading to corrections of the data

Perform comprehensive data profiling and validation checks on incoming and processed data, including:

  • Assessing data for completeness, accuracy, consistency and conformity to expected formats and business rules
  • Reviewing internal reporting dashboards to identify anomalies, outliers and data quality issues

Proactively communicate relevant details of data operations to the Claritas Rx team and to the manufacturer when appropriate. Generate documented lists of data issues for review with key data partners like Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors, and Patient Services Hubs. Examples of data issues include (but are not limited to):

  • Missing information (at the file or record level)
  • Invalid information
  • Ad hoc questions about data

Learn about what’s important to our customers. Manage data issues through the lens of this understanding and effectively prioritize where to spend your time. Problem solve issues with autonomy and work with other teams within Claritas Rx to bring solutions or resolutions to higher escalated issues.

Requirements

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Ability to review and understand record-level, transactional data and analyze data for trends to identify anomalies
  • Familiarity with data quality tools, ETL processes and data governance best practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Initiative and strong work ethic critical
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Education/Experience

  • Three or more (3+) years of work experience at a drug manufacturer, data aggregator, Hub or Specialty Pharmacy generating or monitoring commercial drug data files and data flows in support of a business environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Mail and Google Calendar
