Trexquant Investment is seeking a Data Operations Engineer to monitor trading processes, optimize pipelines, and support CI/CD with a strong focus on Python and Linux. You will collaborate with research teams to deploy scripts and ensure robust quality controls across production systems.

The role emphasizes data-intensive development, fault-tolerant design, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with offices in Stamford and NYC.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Python and Linux.
• Experience with SQL is an advantage.
• Background in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Process-driven with strong attention to detail.
• Ability and willingness to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Prior development experience in fault-tolerant distributed or data intensive applications.
• Collaborative, casual, and friendly work environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot trading processes with robust alerting systems.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain pipelines for data/alpha/strategy generation, testing and deployment.
• Establish and sustain quality control measures for scripts and applications; audit production lines.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement using data analysis and performance metrics.
• Maintain accurate records of production processes and generate regular performance reports.
