Job summary

Our client, a leading data management organization, seeks a Data Operations Analyst in Charlotte, NC. You will support capacity planning, operational insights, and data governance within the Enterprise Data Platform.

Responsibilities include monitoring HDFS/Ozone, optimizing cluster performance, and assisting with onboarding and incident resolution. Requires strong Hadoop skills, SQL, Python, and ETL experience, with a competitive pay rate.

Qualifications

• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Ozone).
• Background supporting large-scale data warehouse environments on Hadoop.
• Experience with data ingestion, ETL, and data validation techniques.
• Proficiency in shell scripting and Python automation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and resolve HDFS and Ozone issues to keep the data platform stable.
• Investigate cluster performance, storage usage, and capacity concerns.
• Manage quota requests, storage allocation, and capacity planning support.
• Assist with application onboarding and data platform integration tasks.
• Coordinate with application teams during incident resolution to minimize downtime.
