Job summary

Concord is actively seeking a Data Modeler to design and maintain data models for a health insurance payer client. You will build transactional and dimensional models for claims, premiums, and membership on a modern cloud platform, and partner with engineers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust models.

The role is hands-on from concept to physical implementation, with emphasis on model design and documentation across diverse payer domains.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data modeling experience across both transactional and dimensional modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for payer data domains, including claims, premiums, and membership.
• Create, manage, and version data models in Erwin Data Modeler, including forward and reverse engineering.
• Translate business requirements from claims, finance, and operations stakeholders into model designs and data definitions.
• Partner with data engineering teams to implement models in Snowflake and/or Databricks.
• Maintain data dictionaries, mapping documents, and modeling standards.
• Review existing models and recommend improvements for performance, consistency, and scalability.

We're looking for a Data Modeler to design and maintain data models for a health insurance (payer) client. You'll build transactional and dimensional models across core payer domains such as claims, premiums, and membership. You'll work with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to turn business requirements into well-structured models on a modern cloud data platform. This is a hands-on role, and you'll own model design from the conceptual stage through to physical implementation.

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for payer data domains, including claims, premiums, and membership.

• ~ Hands-on experience with Erwin Data Modeler is a must.
• ~ Exposure to Snowflake and/or Databricks.
• ~ Experience modeling data for a health insurance payer organization.
• ~ Functional knowledge of claims and/or premium data (strong plus).
• ~ Strong SQL skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders to define requirements
