Job summary

Empower Retirement in Greenwood Village, CO seeks a Data Modeler to design and maintain both logical and physical data models for analytics and reporting. You will translate business requirements into structured data definitions, entities, relationships, and model components, while applying enterprise standards and maintaining documentation.

You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, architects and stakeholders to ensure data quality, lineage and availability across data warehouse

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, CS, Business or related field; 2–4 years in data modeling or analytics.
• Knowledge of logical/physical data modeling, dimensional modeling, and relational design.
• Experience with SQL and data modeling tools (ER/Studio, ERwin) and cloud data warehouses (PostgreSQL, Redshift, Athena, Snowflake).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain logical and physical data models for analytics and reporting.
• Translate requirements into data definitions, entities, relationships, and model components.
• Apply data standards and maintain documentation, metadata, versioning, and change tracking.
• Create and maintain ERDs, data mappings, model definitions, and supporting docs.
• Perform data profiling and quality reviews to ensure accuracy and usability.
• Support data warehouse development and data integration across multiple systems.
