Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Data Modeler to advance data analytics within the Quality Analytics team at EB Groton. You will develop SSAS tabular models, build Power BI dashboards, and automate analytics processes to drive continuous improvement across the enterprise.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, governance, and coaching others on operationalizing BI products. A background in data science or related fields with hands-on BI experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of combined experience in data modeling, data visualization, and/or reporting.
• Proficiency in SSAS development.
• Proficiency in Power BI data visualizations.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Overview

As a member of the Quality Analytics team at Electric Boat, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining a culture of data-driven management to promote continuous improvement throughout the enterprise.

The Quality Analytics team is a member of Electric Boat's growing Business Intelligence community, and our products support business expansion and drive productivity throughout the enterprise through the communication of quality performance. The ideal candidate will enable the community's growth and influence through championing data analytics principles and delivering actionable and reliable products to internal customers.

Our team is actively modernizing quality data deliverables, with a strong emphasis on customer engagement and support. The competitive candidate will have examples of demonstrating customer focus, and the ability to convert legacy reporting into intuitive products.

Primary tasks:

• 2+ years of combined experience in data modeling, data visualization, and/or reporting
• Proficiency in SSAS development
• Proficiency in Power BI data visualizations
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Preferred:

• Experience in quality standards and the application of data analytics to assess quality performance
• Familiarity with Electric Boat's data infrastructure, reporting requirements, business systems, and/or government compliance requirements
• Education beyond a bachelor's degree in data analytics, data visualization, data science, or a related field
• Familiarity with AI platforms such as Copilet, Codex, Claude
