Role Summary

ThinkBio.Ai is seeking an experienced Data Migration Specialist to lead the seamless migration of Electronic Health Records (EHR) to eClinicalWorks (eCW). This position requires deep expertise in eCW’s database structure, clinical modules, and healthcare data standards. You will be responsible for end-to-end data migration activities, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and alignment with eCW’s workflows and schema.

This role is vital to ensuring a smooth, compliant, and efficient transition to eClinicalWorks, with minimal disruption to healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze legacy EHR systems and map data—including patient demographics, appointments, clinical notes, and billing information—to the eCW schema.
  • Design and implement comprehensive ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes tailored to eCW, including data extraction, transformation rules, and loading strategies.
  • Cleanse, validate, and reconcile migrated data to ensure completeness and accuracy; conduct detailed post-migration reviews.
  • Work closely with clinical and technical teams to understand current workflows and ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Perform thorough testing to confirm successful data migration and maintain data integrity within the eCW environment.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data migration challenges while providing technical support to stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, data mapping, and issue logs. Provide training and support for end-users and support staff on any workflow or data access changes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (advanced degree or eCW certification is a plus).
  • Proven experience with healthcare data migrations, specifically involving eClinicalWorks (V12 or later).
  • Strong command of SQL, ETL tools, and healthcare data transformation practices.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7, CCD, and FHIR.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in managing large-scale data migration projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with clinical environments and workflows (patient registration, appointments, documentation, etc.).
  • Experience working with eCW’s latest schema changes and workflow features in V12.
  • Exposure to healthcare data quality tools and migration automation platforms.
