The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing business value by defining, prioritizing, and delivering assigned business capabilities for the organization's product or platform, which is tri-branded and supports three distinct business brands. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure business requirements are clearly understood, appropriately prioritized, and successfully delivered. The Product Owner owns assigned capabilities from discovery and requirements definition through testing, implementation, and business readiness. This role supports the organization's transition to a new reservation platform, and will shift toward ongoing enhancement work in partnership with the business as implementation is completed.

- Own assigned business capabilities, products, workflows, and related product backlogs.
- Translate business needs into well-defined Epics, Features, User Stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria.
- Document requirements using appropriate formats, including business process flows, business rules, data requirements, Given/When/Then acceptance criteria, decision tables, and supporting diagrams.
- Lead the discovery, analysis, and documentation of business requirements for the assigned business capabilities by working closely with stakeholders, SMEs, technology teams, and vendors.
- Review current-state processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve processes.
- Ensure requirements focus on future-state business needs rather than unnecessarily replicating legacy-system functionality.
- Prioritize backlog items based on business value, dependencies, risk, implementation readiness, and program objectives.
- Participate in PI Planning, backlog refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, daily coordination meetings, and cross-functional working sessions.
- Coordinate closely with Business, Engineering, QA, Architecture, Security, Integration, Enterprise Data Management, Reporting, Data Migration, Accounting, Operations, Revenue Management, and vendor teams.
- Support the configuration and validation of business policies and business rules within the product or platform.
- Review vendor-delivered functionality, configuration, demonstrations, documentation, and implementation recommendations.
- Validate completed functionality against requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate business validation, UAT preparation, defect review, and resolution.
- Ensure test scenarios reflect real business processes, operational use cases, and brand-specific requirements across all three brands.
- Identify and manage product dependencies, assumptions, risks, issues, and decisions.
- Maintain traceability between business requirements, Jira tickets, test cases, decisions, and delivered functionality.
- Provide timely status updates and elevate blockers, risks, and decisions requiring leadership attention.
- Support business readiness activities, including process documentation, training coordination, communications, and implementation planning.
- Maintain accurate Jira, Confluence, Miro, and related product documentation.
- Document the requirements and process for submitting Change Requests when the business requires modifications or enhancements to the out-of-the-box (OOTB) solution.
- Support release planning, production readiness, post-implementation validation, and stabilization activities.
- Collaborate with other Product Owners to ensure consistency across shared capabilities and tri-brand requirements.
- Participate in vendor workshops, demonstrations, onsite sessions, and implementation planning activities.
