Job Description
Data Migration Engineer II is responsible for designing, building, testing, and executing data migration solutions that support Oracle Health implementation and interface projects. As part of the Data Management and Migration Delivery Team, this role works with clients and internal stakeholders to analyze business requirements, map and normalize data, establish acceptance testing criteria, and ensure successful migration of healthcare data into Oracle Health solutions. The position requires strong technical, analytical, and communication skills to deliver high‑quality projects on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a technical role such as data migration, system migration, or ETL engagement.
- 2+ years of experience in multi‑dimensional issue resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and Linux back‑end command experience.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self‑starter capable of independently handling tasks and projects.
- U.S. citizenship required due to client contracts.
- Must be able to obtain the appropriate government security clearance card applicable to the position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Python, C#, and CCL.
- Experience in workflow documentation.
- At least 2+ years of experience working on Data Migration or Interoperability (FHIR/HL7).
- At least 2+ years of experience and a solid understanding of database technologies.
- Experience in Electronic Medical Record workflow documentation.
- Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate complex information to clients and stakeholders.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain the required government security clearance.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and execute data migration solutions to support Oracle Health implementation and interface activities.
- Develop and manage data migration plans, including data extraction, transformation, normalization, validation, and loading processes.
- Create and maintain data normalization workbooks and oversee completion by clients and project teams.
- Analyze complex business and data requirements and translate them into migration specifications and technical solutions.
- Establish and document data mapping rules, conversion logic, and acceptance testing criteria that support business processes.
- Perform data migration testing, validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Provide Tier 2 troubleshooting and issue resolution for migration builds, uploads, and production support activities.
- Manage migration‑related changes, risks, issues, and project activities while communicating status and impacts to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with implementation consultants, technical teams, and client representatives to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance migration processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, data governance standards, and security requirements.
Salary Range
US: Hiring range in USD from $25.48 - $63.65 per hour; from $53,000 - $132,400 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
