Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience as a Database Engineer with data migration, especially from legacy systems to cloud.
• Proficiency with ETL tools and data migration processes.
• Strong knowledge of DBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and scripting for automation.
• Experience with AWS S3 and data indexing for accessible data storage.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing legacy data and inventory data sources and quality for migration.
• Develop a comprehensive migration plan with timelines and resource needs.
• Migrate data to AWS S3 with integrity and security.
• Implement indexing to enable fast access and retrieval of migrated data.
• Create validation reports and resolve data discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with software engineers and DBAs to ensure architecture alignment.
• Document data migration processes and generate progress/quality reports.
• Provide user guides and training materials for accessing migrated data.
