Job summary

Synechron seeks an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to define target-state architecture for a complex financial-services data environment. You will map inventories to reusable patterns across MCDB feature classes and produce a federated governance model with a self-serve data platform.

The role emphasizes data mesh, lakehouse patterns, and governance, requiring TOGAF/ArchiMate proficiency and hands-on experience with Databricks, Unity Catalog, Snowflake, and related tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data architecture, with senior enterprise experience in financial services.
• Proven data-mesh / data-product architecture delivery and domain decomposition.
• Deep lakehouse architecture using Databricks, Unity Catalog, Delta, Snowflake, Kafka, Airflow.
• TOGAF 9/10 certified with practical governance of patterns; ArchiMate or C4 used in production.

Responsibilities

• Interpret stored-procedure landscape architecturally and split responsibilities by domain or medallion layer.
• Define one reusable target pattern per MCDB feature class (UI, stage, refdata, extract, enterprise model, MDM, sub-ledger, risk assets).
• Create pattern-assignment matrix and target-state architecture (C4/ArchiMate).
• Produce risk/complexity assessments and a sequenced roadmap; deliver architecture catalogues and pattern cards.
