Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Data Marketplace Governance Lead to own and evolve governance standards for the GRS Data Marketplace. You will define asset eligibility, certification tiers, and ownership models, working with security and product teams to ensure scalable governance.

The role focuses on governance policy translation into practical standards, partnering with domain teams, and maintaining asset-level access requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information systems, Business, or a related field.
• 15+ years experience in Governance function for data, product, platform, services, etc.
• 10+ years managing data as an asset and defining data standards and ownership frameworks
• Understanding of data contracts, metadata for data assets and defining
• Ability to resolve governance exceptions and balance consistency with speed in federated environments
• Working knowledge of data access controls, analytics workflows, and platform governance

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve marketplace governance standards, including asset eligibility, certification tiers, and ownership models
• Partner with domain teams (e.g., underwriting) to understand governance needs and recurring data issues
• Review and update marketplace governance documentation, including standards, procedures, and guidelines
• Periodically review assets for accuracy and relevance and de-list assets no longer in use
• Review and resolve governance exceptions escalated from day-to-day operations
• Define and maintain asset-level access requirements and eligibility criteria in partnership with security
• Partner with the Product Lead to inform strategy, roadmap updates, and success metrics from a governance perspective
