Job summary

Merck & Co. seeks a Data Manager to deliver compliant analytical data and reporting for regulatory submissions, while enabling data-driven decisions across the development lifecycle.

You will work with Analytical Development, Regulatory CMC, Quality, and Digital teams to build scalable solutions, automate workflows, and improve data integrity and accessibility. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related with 10+ years experience; or master's with 6+ years or Ph.D. with 3+ years.
• Experience in pharmaceutical data management, laboratory informatics, analytics, regulatory support, or related scientific disciplines.
• Experience in GxP-regulated environments and applying data integrity principles.
• Ability to translate business needs into data, analytics, and digital solutions.
• Data management, analytics, and reporting.
• Experience in data analytics, visualization, and reporting.
• Knowledge with Spotfire, Power BI, SQL, SAS, or related tools.
• Laboratory Informatics and LIMS platforms.
• Process improvement, workflow automation, and digital technologies.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Laboratory Informatics and LIMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compliance, submission-ready analytical data and reports supporting regulatory filings and health authority responses.
• Design automated data workflows to reduce manual effort and accelerate outcomes.
• Develop dashboards and analytics using Spotfire, Power BI, and enterprise data platforms.
• Partner with scientists and regulatory/digital teams to translate needs into data solutions.
• Drive modernization of laboratory data management and workflows.
• Serve as a business representative for informatics platforms, supporting governance.
• Promote data standards and scalable digital solutions across programs.
