Job summary

The University of Florida is seeking a Data Management Analyst II to support the Office of Institutional Planning and Research (OIPR) in data collection, management, analysis, and reporting related to faculty and staff. You will develop and maintain applications, modernize data environments, and collaborate with UFIT and campus partners on data solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
• Advanced programming and data analysis using SAS, R, SPSS; SQL and database technologies; Python or other scripting languages; and BI tools.
• Experience developing data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau or Cognos.
• Experience with enterprise administrative systems, especially PeopleSoft and Workday.
• Ability to communicate complex analyses clearly and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the university-wide Academic Activities Reporting (AAR) process, coordinating data collection and certification.
• Provide training and technical support to departmental staff submitting academic activity data.
• Prepare data files supporting Board of Governors reporting and federal reporting requirements.
• Design and maintain programs and applications supporting data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Collaborate with OIPR, UFIT, and campus partners to address reporting and analytical needs.
• Produce reports on faculty and employee characteristics, salaries, advancement, and related topics.
• Respond to requests for institutional data and communicate relevant findings.
• Develop training resources for effective use of OIPR data and reporting tools.
• Assist in redesign of applications as requirements evolve.
• Support Workday transition with data validation and workflow improvements.

Education

Master's degree in an appropriate area
