Open to candidates who are permanent in the civil service title of Clerical Associate or those who filed for the NYC Bridge Exam No. 3971 during the filing period (June 7, 2023, to July 18, 2023). The test date is expected to be on Monday, September 18, 2023, and will include multiple-choice and qualifying education and experience assessments.
The Bureau of Environmental Disease and Injury Prevention aims to prevent environmental diseases and injuries in homes, communities, and workplaces, promoting healthy environments and health equity. The Bureau comprises four programs: Healthy Homes, Environmental Health Assessment and Communications, Poison Control Center, and Injury and Violence Prevention.
Candidates should have a strong customer service background, excellent communication skills, courteous telephone manner, and basic computer literacy with a willingness to learn additional skills.
