We are seeking a talented and driven Data Management Analyst to join our high-performing Medicare and Retirement Government Quality Programs team, focusing on improving member experience and driving performance in CAHPS (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) star measures. In this role, you will leverage cutting-edge technologies and data management techniques to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility, delivering actionable insights and recommendations that influence key organizational decisions. As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data management solutions that optimize healthcare outcomes and transform the member experience. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain data dictionaries, data catalogs, and documentation of data sources
  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy
  • Support data acquisition and integration necessary to execute analytics projects
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support data-related projects
  • Keep track of incoming ad-hoc requests ensuring none are overlooked and all are addressed in a timely manner
  • Perform data analysis to identify insights that can be incorporated into strategic recommendations for improving member healthcare experience
  • Develop dashboards, custom reports or other visuals to support identified insights and any monitoring of trends
  • Clearly communicate analytical findings and make recommendations to non-technical stakeholders
  • Bring disparate data together with knowledge of healthcare and government policy to develop and communicate sound business recommendations to leaders throughout the organization

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with SAS, R, Python, SQL, or other preferred programming language
  • 3+ years of experience manipulating data across multiple platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Medicare Advantage products or the healthcare industry, especially working with survey and quality outcomes data
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and tools such as Snowflake
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and practices

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
