Job summary

Decision Technologies, Inc. seeks a Data Management Analyst to support NSWC Dahlgren operations. The role manages classified material, maintains SSDL inventories, processes shipments, and ensures compliance with security procedures.

An active DoD SECRET clearance is required, with duties including database updates, reporting, and media handling in secure labs. Hours align with facility operations; 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, and location is Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate disposal of excess or non-functioning SSDL equipment with appropriate groups (Code 105, Sea Plane Hangar, and/or Property Management).
  • Maintain an SSDL Hardware Inventory Database with updates and monthly inventory of SSDL assets.
  • Deliver SSDL materials and equipment to Government customers and pick up equipment and materials including classified packages from the mailroom.
  • Prepare and process shipments of SSDL and COSIMODE-O media for destruction to NSA.
  • Provide reproduction services for conversion of hardcopy and electronic files to media per security procedures; photocopying/scanning for internal requests.
  • Input database updates, generate and provide inventory status reports after media inventories.
  • Maintain vault media library and records for SSDL projects; provide reports on media in labs and non-barcoded media weekly.
  • Monitor classified lab spaces for unattended media or documentation.
  • Process incoming/outgoing media, prepare for vault repository and inventory, notify of new media, and enter entries into database.
  • Destroy/dispose of documentation per records management policy.
  • Process user requests with ownership verification and clearance level prior to release of classified material.

Decision Technologies seeks a qualified Data Management Analyst to join our team in Dahlgren, VA

Position Description

Manage Classified Material in support of NSWC DD H53 Branch.

MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE
Responsibilities And Duties
  • The Candidate shall coordinate the disposal of excess or non-functioning SSDL equipment with appropriate group(s) (Code 105, Sea Plane Hangar, and/or Property Management) as applicable.
  • The Candidate shall maintain a SSDL Hardware Inventory Database by performing updates and monthly inventory of the SSDL assets.
  • The Candidate shall deliver SSDL materials and equipment to Government customers as well as pickup of equipment and materials including classified packages from the mailroom.
  • The Candidate shall clean all controlled media in preparation for destruction or reuse in accordance with the organization’s standard operating procedures. The Candidate shall prepare and process shipments of SSDL and COSIMODE-O media for destruction to be sent to the National Security Agency (NSA).
  • The Candidate shall provide reproduction services for conversion of hardcopy and electronic files to media in accordance with standard security procedures. The Candidate shall also provide reproduction of documents by way of photocopying or scanning in response to internal and Sponsor requests.
  • The Candidate shall input appropriate database updates, generate, and provide inventory status reports at the conclusion of media inventories, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • The Candidate shall maintain vault media library repository and database records for SSDL projects. The Candidate shall maintain and provide database retrieved reports for all SSDL media located in labs, monthly reports of all media entries, and a weekly report providing identification of non-barcoded secret media in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • The Candidate shall monitor classified lab spaces for unattended media or documentation.
  • The Candidate shall process SSDL new and incoming media, prepare media for vault repository and inventory, provide notifications of new media, and enter incoming, transfers, and new media items into database.
  • The Candidate shall destroy/dispose of documentation material in accordance with applicable records management policy and procedures.
  • The Candidate shall process user requests with the determining of ownership, availability, and verification of requestor’s clearance level prior to release of any classified material. The Candidate shall retrieve and sign out data in accordance with established procedures and relative to specific types of material.
  • The Candidate shall dispose of classified and unclassified dated listings in appropriately marked containers per organizational policy.
Required Qualifications And Skills
  • Candidate must have good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Hours vary depending on the work schedule. Hours of Operation are 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the NISPOM and handling of Classified Material.
