The role emphasizes maintaining DLP controls, reducing data leakage, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enforce AI security policies and governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) or Data Security roles.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Purview DLP and Information Protection.
• Experience securing AI/GenAI platforms and LLM environments.
• Strong understanding of data governance, classification, and protection frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage DLP controls for enterprise AI and GenAI platforms.
• Develop and maintain DLP policies to protect data used by AI apps.
• Monitor data leakage across AI platforms, cloud, endpoints, email, and collaboration tools.
• Identify and remediate Shadow AI and unauthorized AI services within the enterprise.
• Integrate DLP with SIEM/UEBA and threat monitoring systems.

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer - AI Platforms

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data Security, Information Protection, or Cyber Security.
• Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Purview DLP, Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, and Insider Risk Management.
• Experience securing AI/GenAI platforms including Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, and custom AI applications.
• Strong understanding of Data Governance, Data Classification, Data Discovery, and Data Protection frameworks.
• Experience implementing DLP controls across:
• Cloud applications
• Endpoints
• Email
• Collaboration platforms
• AI platforms and LLM environments
• Knowledge of DSPM (Data Security Posture Management), CASB, UEBA, and Insider Threat Management.
• Experience with DLP technologies such as:
• Microsoft Purview
• Defender for Cloud Apps (MDCA)
• Symantec DLP
• Forcepoint DLP
• Netskope
• Zscaler
• Proofpoint
• Understanding of AI-related security risks including:
• Shadow AI
• Sensitive data leakage
• Prompt injection risks
• Unauthorized AI usage

• Experience integrating DLP with SIEM/SOAR platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk.
• Knowledge of cloud security (Azure/AWS) and API-based security controls.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements including GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and privacy regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Data Loss Prevention controls for enterprise AI and GenAI platforms.
• Develop and maintain DLP policies to protect sensitive data used by AI applications and LLM services.
• Monitor and prevent data leakage across AI platforms, cloud environments, endpoints, email, and collaboration tools.
• Identify and remediate Shadow AI usage and unauthorized AI services within the enterprise.
• Configure and optimize data classification, sensitivity labeling, and information protection controls.
• Perform continuous monitoring and investigation of DLP alerts, insider threats, and suspicious data movement activities.
• Collaborate with Security, Data Governa nce, Risk, Privacy, and Compliance teams to enforce AI security policies.
• Integrate DLP controls with SIEM, UEBA, Insider Risk, and threat monitoring platforms.
• Conduct risk assessments for AI applications and GenAI adoption initiatives.
• Tune DLP rules to reduce false positives and improve detection accuracy.
• Support security incident response activities involving AI-related data exposure or exfiltration attempts.
• Develop dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting on AI data protection posture.
• Stay current with emerging AI security threats, governance requirements, and industry best practices.
