Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Data Layer Engineer to design, implement, and optimize data transformation workflows for geospatial and non-geospatial datasets, including ETL processes and schema management.

You will work with ESRI geospatial data layers, ArcGIS Enterprise, and cloud-based services while ensuring data governance, security, and scalable architectures across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Science, Computer Science, or a related field OR 5+ years of equivalent data governance experience.
• Experience developing and managing data governance frameworks.
• Experience implementing metadata and data cataloging solutions.
• Knowledge of DoD and IC data security policies compliance.

This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing data transformation workflows for geospatial and non-geospatial datasets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize data transformation workflows for geospatial and non-geospatial datasets.
• Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data structuring, and schema management.
• Work with ESRI geospatial data layers, ArcGIS Enterprise, and cloud-based geospatial services.
• Utilize databases including PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, and NoSQL.
• Manage cloud storage solutions such as AWS S3, Azure Blob, and Google Cloud Storage.
• Support Kubernetes-hosted geospatial applications. Required Qualifications

• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
• DAMA Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP).
