Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Manager, AAS Data IT in Accounting Advisory Services for our Deal Advisory practice in the Denver area. The role focuses on data analysis, modeling, and IT solutions to support accounting and reporting for transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, and restatements.

Responsibilities include developing database models, translating business issues into analyses, managing staff, interfacing with leaders and client teams, and delivering client-ready material.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience developing database models or applications using SQL, Alteryx or Tableau.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in project management: planning, organizing, coordinating and leading staff or clients.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to business audiences, including executives.
• Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros, external data connections).
• Willingness and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Support team delivering client value through data analysis and modeling for AAS offerings (divestitures, acquisitions, restatements, and more).
• Translate complex business issues into tailored financial database models and analysis.
• Develop and execute work plans to address project issues using financial database models or IT solutions.
• Interface with KPMG project leaders and client/target management teams.
• Manage staff locally and remotely to provide real-time guidance and ensure timely delivery.
• Draft technical documentation and client presentations.
