Job summary

McKesson Pharmacy Systems (MPS) is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Data Insights team. You will build and support scalable data solutions powering reporting, analytics, BI, and data-driven decisions across the organization.

You will work with Snowflake, SQL, Matillion, and Azure to develop data pipelines and ensure reliable data products. This role partners with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field (typically 4+ years for P3 role)
• 4+ years in Data Eng / Software Eng / Data Warehousing or related field
• Strong SQL development and performance optimization
• Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data quality
• Experience with Git-based source control, CI/CD, and Agile delivery

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support scalable data warehouse solutions and data pipelines using Snowflake and Matillion
• Develop SQL-based transformations, data models, and integrations for reporting and BI
• Integrate data from Oracle and other systems while ensuring quality and reliability
• Optimize data warehouse performance through query tuning and architecture
• Troubleshoot data pipelines, production and warehouse issues
• Support modern development practices including CI/CD, code reviews, testing, and deployments
• Partner with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver well-documented data solutions
