Job summary

zaimler, Inc is building the next-generation semantic platform that connects fragmented enterprise data and enables reasoning over knowledge. You will extend the query engine's language and function support while building cross-source query capabilities across Snowflake, Databricks, and more.

You’ll work in the engine's core components—coordinator, compiler, executor—across storage, indexing, and live data access layers, tackling production-scale systems with a practical, hands-on mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong database fundamentals: understanding of consistency models, transactions, and storage layers
• Experience running production-scale systems
• Systems mindset: OS, file systems, distributed systems, or database internals
• Ability to work from ambiguous, evolving problems rather than fully scoped tickets
• Bias toward hands-on execution over pure architecture or process ownership

Responsibilities

• Extend the query engine's language and function support over time
• Help build cross-source query capabilities: answering questions spanning multiple data sources in a single query
• Work on the storage and indexing layer that the query engine runs against
• Build and maintain the layer that queries live into external systems like Snowflake and Databricks
• Work directly in the engine's core components: coordinator, compiler, executor
