Job summary

Speechify is hiring a Software Engineer for the Data side of its AI team. You will own data collection and support model training by building high-quality datasets at scale, integrating data sources into ingestion pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have strong software development background, Linux scripting skills, and experience with Docker, Terraform, and GCP. The role is fully remote across the United States and International locations.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience in industry.
• Proficiency with bash and Python scripting in Linux environments.
• Proficiency with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts; experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (GCP).
• Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal; ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Find and ingest new audio data sources into the ingestion pipeline.
• Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline (GCP; Terraform).
• Collaborate with Scientists to improve cost, throughput and data quality.
• Coordinate with AI Team and Leadership to roadmap data for Speechify products.
