Job summary

Walmart in Bentonville, AR is seeking a Manager, Data Governance to implement and operationalize the governance program across Walmart Claims Services. You will partner with business, Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Data teams to ensure trusted, secure, and accessible data for compliant data sharing and high-value data products.

You will drive data quality improvements, manage metadata, and oversee governance for sensitive data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 3 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
• Option 2: 5 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
• Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area.

Responsibilities

• Implement data governance standards, policies, and stewardship practices.
• Partner with business and technology teams to improve data quality and resolve issues.
• Support metadata management, business glossaries, and the Enterprise Data Portal.
• Enable secure, role-based data access and governed data sharing.
• Provide governance for sensitive and regulated data.
• Deliver governance training, track KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
• Embed governance into operational processes and data product delivery.
