Job summary

AlphaGov is seeking a Data Governance Lead to develop a data-governance strategy and an actionable implementation plan for state court systems. This remote-first, project-based role involves assessing current data practices, defining standards, and creating a phased roadmap with clear ownership and success measures.

You will facilitate workshops with IT and court operations, contribute qualifications for proposals, and travel as needed to client sites.

Qualifications

• Data-governance strategy and implementation experience (public-sector or large enterprise).
• Familiarity with data stewardship models, data-quality programs, and interoperability planning.
• Comfortable as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with travel as needed for client on-sites

Responsibilities

• Assess current-state data practices, stewardship roles, and interoperability gaps across court systems
• Design a practical data-governance framework (policies, roles, standards, quality metrics)
• Produce an implementation plan with phased roadmap, ownership, and success measures
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops with IT, court operations, and business owners
• Contribute data-governance qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when permissioned
