Job summary

Independence Pet Holdings in Fulton, MS is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support data governance programs across our enterprise. You will collaborate with Data Governance, Security, Engineering, Legal and business stakeholders to enable data cataloging, metadata management, data lineage, and MDM while ensuring data privacy and quality.

The role administers Databricks Unity Catalog and Osano, drives the Data Stewardship Program, monitors adoption and metrics, and contributes to governance

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience implementing and administering data catalog platforms.
• Experience building and operationalizing a Data Stewardship Program.
• Strong knowledge of data governance principles, metadata management, cataloging, lineage, and stewardship.
• Experience supporting Databricks Unity Catalog or similar governance platforms.
• Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and data quality processes.
• Experience with privacy/compliance technologies such as Osano.
• Strong technical, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer the enterprise Data Catalog in partnership with the Data Governance team.
• Lead the data catalog roadmap, including metadata collection, onboarding, classification, glossary, and data lineage.
• Support and administer Databricks Unity Catalog, including metadata management and access governance.
• Partner with data owners, stewards, and engineering to improve discoverability and governance adoption.
• Design, implement, and lead the Data Stewardship Program.
• Serve as administrator and liaison for Osano, handling enhancements and compliance requests.
• Support MDM platforms and governance processes, including workflows and data quality initiatives.
• Monitor adoption, governance metrics, and usage trends; propose improvements.
• Support governance projects and strategic initiatives.
• Develop governance documentation and operational procedures.
