Peregrine Advisors LLC is hiring for a senior data governance role focused on enterprise-wide governance using Microsoft Purview. You will configure, govern, and improve data catalogs, glossaries, classifications, and lineage to support government clients.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data governance or data management experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Strong hands-on experience configuring and using Microsoft Purview
• Solid understanding of core data governance and data management principles
• Proven experience managing data catalogs, data classification, data lineage, and business glossaries

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and implementation of data governance initiatives across the organization
• Configure and administer Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, discovery, classification, and continuous governance
• Develop, implement, and maintain the data governance policies, standards, and procedures
• Oversee the management of the data catalog, business glossary, data classification, and data lineage
• Work with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and cross-functional teams to strengthen data quality and governance practice
• Establish clear processes for data ownership, stewardship, and accountability
• Make data easy to discover and understand across cloud and on-premises sources
• Track governance adoption metrics and find opportunities to improve before anyone asks
• Provide leadership and strategic guidance on data governance practice
• Create and maintain detailed documentation, governance frameworks, and process guidelines

At Peregrine Advisors, you will drive enterprise-level data governance for a federal agency, built on Microsoft Purview, and set the policies and standards behind the management, quality, and security of its data. But we hire people, not seats. As the work evolves, you will move to where the hardest problems are.

This is a hybrid work arrangement based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and the commuting cadence varies by assignment. The initial engagement requires United States citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination.

Your first project

Your first project joins an ongoing engagement, working closely with business and technical teams. Depending on the assignment, you may:

This is a full-time W-2 position with a salary of $150,000 to $175,000 per year.
