Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a senior data governance professional to own end‑to‑end governance for the TIBCO modernization program in Atlanta. You will design, operate, and sign off on governance across Kafka, Databricks, and Collibra, aligned to NS enterprise standards.

Responsibilities include leading metadata, lineage, classification, and cataloging; ensuring data quality; driving compliance and audit readiness; and integrating governance into DataOps pipelines for successful go‑live

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading end‑to‑end data governance initiatives and policies.
• Proven ability to design and operate a data governance framework aligned to enterprise standards.
• Strong familiarity with Collibra, Kafka, and Databricks in enterprise contexts.

• Lead metadata, lineage, classification, and cataloging activities.
• Govern Kafka topics, schemas, retention, and ownership standards.
• Ensure data quality, reconciliation, and zero data loss during migration.

• Anchor governance councils, stewardship, and issue resolution.
• Integrate governance into DataOps pipelines and platform tooling.
• Lead parallel run validation and obtain business sign‑offs

Role Summary

Own and drive end to end data governance (design → operate → sign-off) for the TIBCO modernization program ensuring governance‑by‑design across Kafka, Databricks, and Collibra, aligned to NS enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Align and firm up on enterprise data governance framework, policies, and operating model
• Lead metadata, lineage, classification, and cataloging (Collibra) in line with NS policies
• Govern Kafka topics, schemas, retention, and ownership standards
• Ensure data quality, reconciliation, and zero data‑loss during migration
• Drive compliance (PII, IAM, audit, security controls) and audit readiness
• Anchor data governance council, stewardship, and issue resolution
• Integrate governance into DataOps pipelines and platform (not applications)
• Lead parallel run validation, business sign‑offs, and go‑live approvals

Key Deliverables

• Collibra catalog (lineage, glossary, ownership)

Salary Range: $100,000-$140,000 a year
