Eliassen Group is seeking a highly technical Data Governance & Analytics professional in New York, NY. Hybrid onsite 3-4 days, leading governance standards and data quality for marketing analytics. Responsible for data pipelines, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Role requires 7+ years in data governance/analytics, advanced SQL and Python, and experience with enterprise data pipelines and BI tools. W2 consultant with comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data governance, data quality, data engineering, or marketing analytics.
• Advanced SQL and strong Python experience.
• Deep understanding of governance frameworks, data lineage, access controls, and compliance.
• Experience overseeing multiple enterprise data pipelines.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and backend data systems.
• Experience with Tableau, Looker, or AWS QuickSight; orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead data governance standards, policies, and best practices across marketing analytics environments.
• Own and enhance the data quality framework, including QA, monitoring, and validation.
• Ensure accuracy across data sources, reporting platforms, and dashboards.
• Oversee automated workflows supporting data collection, transformation, reporting, and analytics.
• Partner with engineering to establish scalable, governed data pipelines.
• Serve as the primary contact for data lineage, access controls, and compliance questions.
• Conduct root cause analysis on data issues and drive long-term fixes.
• Maintain governance docs, data dictionaries, validation frameworks, and reporting standards.
• Stay current on data governance, privacy, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with analytics, legal, privacy, product, and finance to resolve discrepancies.
• Mentor junior analysts on QA and governance; translate concepts for business teams.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives and improve marketing reporting.
