About the Job:

The primary purpose of this role is to lead and collaborate across teams to manage data governance and reporting. Responsibilities include supporting data governance activities, driving the finance data roadmap, contributing to data governance projects, and educating on data management.

• Drive Data Governance activities - Policies, Standards, Procedures
• Support Data Governance Tools and Templates (e.g., Atacama, Data Prep Guide, Retail Spine Data Foundations)
• Evolve Data Working groups and align with other forums
• Promote awareness, education, and stewardship within Finance ADUSA

Responsible for evolving the framework, policies, and structures for data governance to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities:

• Align with Retail Spine Data Foundations
• Coordinate FIRE/Management Reporting with UNITY Data Catalog, Glossary, and Operational Metrics
• Socialize Finance Domain Stewardship
• Nominate Finance Leads & Stewards and finalize Sub-Domain/Subject Area
• Prioritize based on Finance Domain Risks
• Analyze Data Governance Policies and Standards
• Collaborate with Reporting & Analytics, Brands, Finance & Non-Finance teams, IT, and other stakeholders

• Oversee compliance and management of data with governance groups
• Contribute to the finance roadmap and major projects
• Communicate effectively internally and externally
• Lead education and training on data and reporting management
• Drive reporting system implementations and data/reporting management
• Maintain self-motivation and decision-making capabilities in complex situations
• Schedule and follow up on meetings for critical projects
• Research and resolve data issues
• Ensure Data Quality, Data Dictionary, Business Glossary, and Data Catalog definitions and implementations
• Assist in cataloging data and reporting elements, including Power BI dashboards

Timelines for tasks are set based on project needs. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in data governance, consulting, accounting, or finance
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, data science, or analytics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, SAP S/4, SAP BPC, Jira
• Understanding of accounting processes, financial reporting, retail operations, Azure, and data lifecycle
• Effective collaboration skills
• Management or technology consulting experience in data preferred
