  • Analyze data issues and recommend corrective actions to improve data quality and consistency across systems.
  • Document governance policies, standards, and procedures to support organizational adoption and audit readiness.
  • Promote a culture of data accountability and continuous improvement across business and technical teams.

Position Summary

The Data Governance Analyst II is responsible for leading the implementation and execution of enterprise data governance practices, with a primary focus on Informatica data governance solutions. This role drives the definition, adoption, and enforcement of data standards, policies, and ownership across the organization, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accountability to support business operations and analytics.

This is a term position anticipated to be needed through Fall 2028 but may be ended or extended based on organizational needs, funding availability, and performance.

Job Responsibilities

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business, or related field preferred
  • equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data governance, data management, or data analysis
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica Data Governance tools (e.g., EDC, CDGC) or similar platforms
  • Experience defining and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in complex organizational environments
  • Experience with data quality, metadata management, and data lineage concepts
  • Experience working with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, Salesforce, cloud platforms)
  • Strong understanding of data lifecycle, data domains, and enterprise data architecture
  • Experience leading or facilitating governance initiatives or cross-functional projects
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong ability to lead data governance initiatives and drive organizational alignment across stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills to manage complex discussions and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and enforce governance standards in challenging situations.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata, lineage, and data quality concepts.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and promote adoption of governance practices across the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on data quality and consistency.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of accountability and confidence in decision-making, even in complex or sensitive situations.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Informatica, data governance, or data management certifications (e.g., CDMP, DAMA) are a plus
Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Position requires working in an office environment where there some physical discomforts such as dust, dirt, noise, and the like are present. Ability to work off-hours and weekends for go-lives, testing and emergencies, as well as travel between office locations, primarily within NYC is required. Occasional meetings or clinical staff interactions in typical patient care areas may be required though direct patient exposure is not expected. Occasional moving of computer equipment or similar objects up to approximately 50lbs may be required to expedite projects.
