Job summary

Info Origin Inc. is seeking a Data Governance Analyst for a hybrid role in Indianapolis, IN. The contract position focuses on agency-wide data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data sharing initiatives, working with owners, stewards, and Legal to ensure data is properly documented and protected.

The role collaborates with program leaders to maintain governance artifacts, classify data, and improve the governance framework while delivering training and governance templates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years using Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog or similar.
• At least 2+ years in data stewardship/relationship management.
• 3+ years of project oversight and root-cause analysis.
• 4+ years of critical thinking, communication, and time management.
• Experience in data governance, metadata, and data quality.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Data lineage experience is highly desired.
• Understanding of the data analysis lifecycle is highly desired.
• Strong collaboration, integrity, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support agency-wide data governance policies, SOPs, and stewardship programs.
• Maintain data dictionaries, metadata, data catalogs, and Dataset Reference Sheets.
• Manage data quality rules and track data quality issues.
• Review and coordinate internal/external data sharing requests.
• Maintain audit trails and support Data Sharing Agreements.
• Support data classification, retention, access, and security requirements.
• Develop and deliver data governance and data literacy training.
• Create governance guides, templates, and job aids.
• Track governance KPIs, SLAs, and data quality metrics.
• Work with data owners, stewards, custodians, and program leaders.
• Support continuous improvement of the agency data governance framework.
